The Legendary PSALM AQUINO

Almost every student in the Junior High School Department knows him. Every student regard him as the most legendary student athlete and swimmer of his time and school. He is Psalm Deniel Aquino;born on June 14, 2002. He is the greatest swimmer and student athlete in ACT.

He first went onto fame somewhere in the Ber-months of 2014, when he was still Grade 6. That time, he clinched 10 x MILO gold medals and 1 x Silver Medal.  The achievements that he considers the biggest is being the two-time most outstanding swimmer in the whole Philippines, and reaching 3rd place in Palarong Pambansa 2015.“I consider my place in Palarong Pambansa to be my biggest win, since my opponents we’re as tall as 5’9 to 5’11”. He has also competed in International levels like the Ironkids 2015.

He started training in swimming when he was 8 years old, but stopped for a year and went back to training  when he was 10 years old. Besides swimming, his other hobbies are : Basketball, which is his main favorite sport, Archery, and he also sometimes plays Table Tennis with his friends.

The person who encouraged him to try swimming was his sister, since he envied her because her sister used to be a gold medalist. He tried out Karate-do, but he decided to quit days later since a girl kept trying to kick his private part during sparring.

Lately, he has lost a lot of competitions, but he stated “ I really don’t care, as long as I tried my best and as long as I broke my personal records". His motivations every time he competes is his Mother, who helps him stretch and flex before competitions and of course his girlfriend, Kelsey, who morally supports him during competitions.

Losing doesn't always mean defeat. It means we need to move forward and keep pounding. In the same way winning doesn't always mean victory.
