I DON'T KNOW WHY

I DON'T KNOW WHY
by Michael Osmil

I don't know why,
When you whisper to me, it's as if an angel's melody.
So calm and graceful, like the voice of the sea.
Those first words I heard from you, spoken with the most gentle of tones.
I will never forget those words, because forgetting those words,
Is like forgetting your voice, forgetting that I ever heard such beauty.

I don't know why,
When you lay me in your arms, I feel so comfortable and safe,
Like the lush greenery of nature's overwhelming forests, that will never fade.
Your arms, so committed, they never stop until I fell into my peaceful sleep.
My first cradle, those arms were. There I was, snuggled in your arms.
I am thankful, to have been carried in your arms.

I don't know why,
Why your smile made me smile too, then you would smile even brighter,
Which for me, made the whole world a lot brighter.
And when we shared our first laugh together, doesn't it make you wonder,
How our bond, with just a single giggle, strengthened with the speed of thunder.
And even now when we laugh together, even if just often,
Our burdens ease, our problems fade and our hearts soften.

But now I know why,
Because you are my mother, and I am your son,
Forever.

You

You
by Angel Calma

You're my everything Reason why I'm smiling Yields of happiness I got Angel's above singing Never forget the moment that I've wanted
Putting the memories above Forgetting every moment I'm without you Telling everybody your my everything Anyone's getting you but saying your mine
Loving you was the best I've never done this since Never done anything for anyone but you Getting to cherish every thought of you
Hugs are being remembered Unknown emotions mixing up Going somewhere staying with you Because you're my everything

I wish I wasn't Alone

I wish I wasn't Alone

by Lily Joy Apurado

Once when I was little
I was happy and carefree
I used to run around laughing
Until it was time for tea

I used to play games
And smile all the time
I used to feel on top of the world
I used to feel fine

It's amazing how things change
When people let you down
And how that once happy face
Turns into a solemn frown

You search and search
For someone who cares
Anyone who understands
Anyone who dares

Loneliness, it hurts
It kills you deep inside
It makes you feel empty
It stops you in your stride

You cry yourself to sleep
Hugging your pillow tight
Wishing for someone
To hold you through the night

Once when I was little
I was happy and carefree
Now my life's full of sadness,
Pain and misery

Once when I was little
I was never on my own
But now I pray at night
'I wish I wasn't alone'

Life

Life
By Jywell Buscato

All people will have to go,
Through the journey of life,
Life has ups and downs,
At the most unexpected times,
Which has rough and bumpy corners

Life can’t be perfect all the time,
We all have a feeling that,
Makes us want to go,
But want to erase the past,
And start over again

What matters most is how many times,
You stand – up to continue,
It presented with an opportunity,
To react differently in many actions,
Many situations will test our ability

You must struggle to survive,
But don’t give up to succeed,
It doesn’t matter if you win or lose,
What counts  is how you made it,
And what you feel about it
It offers many opportunities,
It’s up to you if you will grab it,
Or you will let it pass, and let it go easily,
Think wisely before doing actions

Always remember and keep  in mind,
That the failure once experienced,
Is not the end of everything,
The best choice is still standing,
Start doing things that make you feel better

Love

Saying you loved me, with that look  in your eye,
I wish I could say it was a cold hearted lie,
I know that you love me, I know that you care,
But the rage inside you, slowly fade

I admit I’ve made mistakes, overstepping the boundaries,
Which made me look fake, made me look untrustred,
I always said I would never do the things I did,
And I know that’s why it’s hard for you to forgive

So many times we’ve said that we’d try,
Just to turn around and make each other cry,
Remember how it was when we first started out,
We feel so hard, maybe fell in love too soon,
And we both did things we can’t undo

Our love for each other is still there,
I never meant to hurt you or cause you any pain,
We always have these tears to cry,
I have these emotions, I wish you could see

Sometimes I get really upset,
Cause I feel like you don’t  understand me,
Will you ever love me like you used to?
Show me the love that I once knew,
The love that we both grew

When will you see?
I’m starting to feel like I hardly know you anymore
When can we go back to how it was before?
Will we still hurt if we heal?
My dreams of us does not look like it’s coming true,
I feel sad and you’re sick of me and want something new

Moving On
How can I let go?
If I know that I can’t,
Every Second means every heartbeat,
That I waste everyday thinking of you

It’s hard to move on,
If you know that the person you really love,
Doesn’t like you,
Wishing that we can bring back,
Our memories we made together

If I have a time machine,
I would return to the time,
That we have so much fun like there’s no tomorrow,
I hope someday you’ll realize,

That I have loved you so much

Beyond The Oblivion

Beyond The Oblivion
by Jywell Buscato
As the shattered mirror Strikes the broken heart It bleeds by its horror It can't end without a start
The eyes sees nothing But a void within The touch held something Yet none sense between
The mirror tried mending its shards Even with a touch, it's weak and fragile As no flutes with no bards And no roads with no mile
No figures were in my observation Cause their hearts are soulless That is beyond the oblivion Of me being useless

Just Smile

Just Smile
by Jwell Buscato

The nights are cold
And the wind kept whistling
But truth be told
Their lives are worth saving

Their minds were poisoned
By their memories of the dark past
It's full of misery and depression
And their greatest moments will be their last

No,no,no, you're not ready
Your lives are terrible
But you have to keep it steady
Or it will be pricked by the needle

It's been a while
For you to do this
Just give a smile
To everyone you missed

Let Go

Let Go
By Dominic Ceballos
Every time I wake up,
I reach for a coffee in a cup,
Going through us.
From the memories we had,
Everything we did,
From the good and the bad.

I carry this weight with me,
Of you and me,
And I’m dying, still hurting.
Can you not see?
I guess you can’t,
From all the smiles on your face.

I was destroyed,
When you packed your suitcase.
When you looked back,
Only to say goodbye.
I was killed by the pain,
Said nothing but cried.
I’m tired of this hurting.

I’m ready to let you go.
Though I’m still wondering,
Are you a friend or foe?
But time will tell,
After I’m free.
And I am hoping
That you are ready to see
All the happiness I get,
And all you’ll feel is regret.

Flower by Scot Damier Sandoval

An incandescent flower
Which was born near the tower
Surrounded with hostile beast
Asian College of Technology held an on-the-spot
poetry writing competition in lieu of the English Month.
Hoping for the very least.

A butterfly with chatoyant wings
Has dreams for impossible things
And found the flower
Resting near the tower.

As the butterfly go close
Thinking if it's as lovely as a rose
It gave an ineffable look
While it's reading its book.

Then the butterfly flew night after night
Wondering whether he was right
It flew around mesmerized by the flower's petal
With courage as strong as metal.

But his wings grew tired,
And the flower hasn't known she was admired.
The butterfly died right beside
Knowing it's too late to decide.

EMOTIONS

EMOTIONS
by Dominic Ceballos

I feel heavy looking through those years When I waited and cried those tears, I felt the pain growing each and every day And “ I’m fine “ is all I could say
I feel down knowing what I did wasn’t enough Never enough to make you laugh, Even though problems are tough My efforts are just not enough
I feel confused on what to do Do I hide this feeling that is true? Or die every time you find someone new, I just can’t decide when I’m talking about you,
I feel crazy each and every day To see you smile in a way, That keeps me awake every night and day, Oh, girl I just want you to stay
I feel jealous to know you care For someone who wasn’t even there I find it really unfair It’s just the feeling I can’t bare
I feel mad to know you’re in pain All I witness is an endless rain I'll wipe those tears 'coz care And don’t worry I'll always be there
But now I only feel regret That I've kept all these things a secret, These emotions I feel inside That I never should hide
I just love you too much.

DISTANT LAND by Eloisa Garcia

You are my sole constant,
In this life of changing tides.
Calm and brooding,
May own unsolved mystery.

In my motionless journey,
I am satisfied with glimpses.
Yes, I am yearning.
But, never wanting.

I cling on my anchored sailboat,
Your smile a distant land.
I drown in whirlpools.
I crash in storms.

You are swept by the waves,
But not my own.
Still I watch you,
As these waters close in.

STARLIGHT by Dominic Ceballos

It has been an amazing ride,
Acting all foolish and loosing our pride,

We seem not to care about the people who judge us,
All we do is laugh and take the midnight bus,

Pointing out starlight and questioning about love,
On our nights we wonder to the lights above.

For each time we are together, love starts running low,
We know for a fact that time is our greatest foe.

We still enjoy our company, holding each other's hands,
Despite the lack of emotions in our appearance.

But as we feared, the day has come for us both,
As all things always have to embrace to an ending.

Is this the end, the limit, and the breaking of the sacred oath?
And our hearts are too broken even by mending?

Still, you are the starlight I question about love.
Were you sent by the angels above?

THE BEGINNING by Dominic Ceballos

There is something I have deep within my heart,
I felt it surging and growing right from the start,
Just like the powerful thunders in the sky,
Lights me up and pains me to cry,

And like the roars of the ocean slamming into shore,
I scream your name unlike ever before,
But no matter how loud I Could Try to scream,
I would never be the man that You have always dreamed,

But no matter how it pains me to tell
You how hard I had fell,
Fell madly inlove with you with the purest heart,
You never knew how much I loved you from the start
