Psalm Deniel Aquino won 3 medals during the Milo Olympics swimming competition which was held last August 24-26, 2017 at Abellana Sports Complex.
Aquino brought home 2 silver medals and 1 bronze for Asian College of Technology. He confessed that he couldn't have done all these competitions without his mother. "I can't race or compete without her. She gives me strength and most of all she supports me all the way.", he said.
He has been training ever since with his two coaches: Jovan Delica, Cycling Coach; and Andoy Remolino, Swimming and Running Coach. Both coaches agree that Aquino's swim times are improving and that he is physically and mentally ready to take on outstanding opponents here in the Philippines.
It's already been five years since Aquino started his swimming career and according to him, he chose this kind of sport because it reduces injury risks.
He has been through a lot of competitions every year. He's joined triathlons which includes running and cycling. He has had more than 3 medals if you're keeping score. And he has more medals to to bring home.
He only has one message though: " For aspiring swimmers and newbies out there, never give up; Train every single day; Always be humble and pray to God."
