ACT Knights basketball teams, both boys and girls, won the championship game during the district meet last September 16, 2017.
The boys team played against Monterey School with the score 34-70. On the other hand, the girls played and won against Jaclupan National High School.
The boys were overwhelmed by their success. Josh Limbitco, one of the players, said that winning really felt good since the Montery School team was teasing them at first and because of that they became more determined to beat their opponent.
Meanwhile, the girls were so happy and surprised with the result of their first off-school competition. "We were so proud since we brought honor to the school." Chelsea Enriquez, one of the players, said in an interview.
Ms. Floramae Arain, Athletics Club Moderator, said that their trainings had all paid off. "They really never mind going home late so long as they can train. That's how determined they are to compete."
Indeed any sport competition or any competition per se without training would never give good results.
